We were
POISONED

We were walking down the street to see Michelle Jupiter’s vintage shop, Space Dust. Adrian saw a yummy-looking bush and broke a piece off and licked it (with his tongue). I watched in jealousy and nibbed off a piece of it to munch on. It had beautiful milky white puss dripping out of its bulbs. It didn’t taste as good as you would think - but not bad either. Then our tongues started burning hot shortly after. Once we reached Space Dust, we promptly called poison control. The Minister of Poison said, “Hey kids, where are your parents?” To which we replied, “We don’t have them with us… we’re grown-ups.” “You’re probably gonna be alright, but you should consider going to the hospital,” said the Minister of Poison. After much debate, we decided to skip the hospital and ended up playing the show at the Silverlake Lounge with Future Eyes Crystal Choir. Our tongues burned all night and we never ate street plants again.

LYRICS

You brought me here

With your ticket

Aquariums are

Fish prisons

Baby you could be my catfish,

Let me be your dogfish.

You will be my queenfish

Long as I can fend off

Saber the swordfish

Invisible glass walls

Plastic seaweed in my sea

Playing games with my head

An ocean inside of me

You touched my house

You poked the glass

Swordfish finger joust

Fisheez raise your hands

An arm and a leg and a fin cost me,

Hit the hay 2 birds 1 stone half a deck

One deck eye to eye wool on your pie

Grain of salt we swim in your waterbeds

Two inches of glass

Are we strong enough?

They might catch the slow of us

But they can’t catch us all

Swordfish broke the glass

This aquarium’s in the past!

Swim anywhere we want

Ocean has no lanes

Free like a bee is free

You can’t catch me

Free like a bee in the breeze

You can’t catch me
